Welcome to Animation in Whitley Bay, an exciting weekend programme for imaginative children eager to create animated stories.
Each term, our 8-week course runs on Saturdays from 2-4pm, exploring stop-motion, digital animation, and claymation with professional equipment and software. Children work individually or in teams, developing animation skills and producing a final animated film to share with parents. Guided by expert tutors, they learn techniques used in professional film and gaming industries.
Ideal for patient, creative children who love crafting characters and stories through digital tools or hands-on methods like claymation. These classes suit kids fascinated by cartoons, video games, or visual effects and eager to express their ideas visually. Animation welcomes both tech-savvy and artistic young creators.
Animation fosters creative problem-solving and originality, encouraging children to invent unique worlds and narratives. The process builds patience and technical skills, preparing them for future careers in film, gaming, or design. Collaborative and individual projects boost confidence and pride in their creative achievements.
