Explore our Art4Film courses in Whitley Bay, a creative programme where children design visual elements for cinematic storytelling.
Our Art4Film provision offers three distinct, hands-on courses delivered across the academic year – one per full term:
Term 1: SFX Make-Up – Dive into character design, special effects, and prosthetics to bring screen characters to life.
Term 2: Costume Design – Explore character styling, textile fabrication, and garment creation for on-screen storytelling.
Term 3: Set & Props Design & Build – Learn practical skills – research, design and construct a film set.
Whether completing a single term or the full year, students work on interest-led, practical projects that build real-world creative skills and support well-being. In addition, students can work towards accredited portfolio evidence for the Arts Award.
Young creatives, aspiring designers, and visual storytellers passionate about practical media, art, and film. These courses appeal to students eager to bring narrative concepts to life and explore behind-the-scenes production design. Art4Flm welcomes all young creators!
Art4Film nurtures creativity and attention to detail, helping students develop skills in design and visual storytelling. Collaborative projects enhance teamwork and communication, while seeing their work on screen boosts pride and confidence. These workshops offer practical experience for future creative careers in film and media.
