Introduction

We respect your privacy and understand that privacy is important to you and that you care about how information about you is used. This privacy policy sets out details about what data we collect and how we use it within ACT 2 CAM

When ACT 2 CAM processes your personal data, we will always do so in accordance with the UK’s data protection laws which includes the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our Data Protection Officer is Stephen Woods who can be contacted via email: info@act2cam.com

If you have any questions about how we collect and use your information not covered in this privacy notice, or if you wish to speak to someone about our approach to data protection and privacy, please contact us on the email address above.

When we collect personal data, it will be obvious to you that you are providing personal data, and how we will be using it.

Ways we collect data

Ways we collect data

1. Consent Forms

1. Consent Forms

If you fill out one of our website forms, the data you submit is stored only for as long as it is relevant for us to do so, depending on the nature of your enquiry.

If you enrol with ACT 2 CAM, we will collect the data required for us to provide the best experience for your child, we will make it obvious to you why we need this information.

We may contact parents or guardians about our activities and events during the course of your child’s attendance at ACT 2 CAM, but unless notified otherwise will not generally maintain marketing lists or actively carry out marketing activities.

If you call ACT 2 CAM, generally we will not record specific details about the conversation unless further action is required.

If a parent or guardian calls ACT 2 CAM about a student, then notes about the conversation may be added to our Student Information Management System (SIMS), which maintains our student records. ACT 2 CAM will keep this information for as long as the student attends the school, and for a year after their attendance, unless the law requires us to keep the information for longer, or unless you ask for us to remove it.

2. Emails

2. Emails

Any emails we receive are stored via our email provider’s platform and are accessible on our computers via our email client which uses a local copy of the emails (as well as them being available via an online web application). Access to them is protected via device and email-service passwords.

We will only keep emails within our email system for as long as it is lawful for us to do so.

3. Google

3. Google

Google uses a set of cookies to collect information. You can find out more about Google cookies by visiting their page here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies#types-of-cookies

ACT 2 CAM uses the “Google Analytics” service to gain insights into user attributes and user behaviour on our site. We can’t personally identify individual visitors, but we can, for example, see which pages are popular, and how long people spend on the site.

Some cookies and similar technologies are used to measure ad and campaign performance and conversion rates for Google ads on a site that you visit. Cookies are primarily used to help us determine how many times users who click on our ads end up taking an action on our site, such as making a purchase. Cookies used for measuring conversion rates are not used to personalise ads.

You can read Google’s privacy policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy

How to control the information collected by google

How to control the information collected by Google

(This extract is from Google Privacy and Terms)

Here are some of the ways you can control the information that is shared by your device when you visit or interact with sites and apps that use Google services:

Ad Settings [https://myadcenter.google.com/home] helps you to control ads that you see on Google services (such as Google Search or YouTube), or on non-Google websites and apps that use Google ad services. You can also learn how ads are personalised, opt out of ad personalisation and block specific advertisers.

If you are signed in to your Google Account, and depending on your Account settings, My Activity [https://myactivity.google.com/] allows you to review and control data that’s created when you use Google services, including the information that we collect from the sites and apps that you have visited. You can browse by date and by topic, and delete part or all of your activity.

Many websites and apps use Google Analytics to understand how visitors engage with their sites or apps. If you don’t want Analytics to be used in your browser, you can install the Google Analytics browser add-on [https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout]. Learn more about Google Analytics and privacy [https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245] .

Incognito mode in Chrome [https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464] allows you to browse the web without recording web pages and files in your browser or Account history (unless you choose to sign in). Cookies are deleted after you’ve closed all of your incognito windows and tabs, and your bookmarks and settings are stored until you delete them. Learn more about cookies [https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies]. Using Incognito mode in Chrome or other private browsing modes does not prevent the collection of data when you visit websites that use Google services, and Google may still collect data when you visit websites using these browsers.

Many browsers, including Chrome, allow you to block third-party cookies. You can also clear any existing cookies from within your browser. Learn more about managing cookies in Chrome [https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647].
