I’ve been with Act2Cam for about five years now. I first joined the drama group and later on an art group focusing on the behind-the-scenes aspect of filming. In the drama group I got the opportunity to make my own films generating ideas finalising productions eventually being able to act in them as a character of my own design. With each year I’ve been given this opportunity to this not only has my acting skills improved but my story building, devising skills and many others that wouldn’t have been able to grow as successfully without Act2Cam. When further on I joined the art group I got to try even more things in the world of film going into the area of the art department. In this group I was able to work on props, set design, makeup and costume building up even more skills that inspire me to work on these things that I enjoy.

It’s not just the skills and the developing of abilities that draws me towards Act2Cam it’s also the atmosphere and people. The teachers are charismatic and encouraging for the students to develop their own ideas and gain independence. Both of my groups also consist of people who are great to get along with and fun to be around making sessions really enjoyable.

So overall, In the many years I have been at Act2Cam Its been a great place for me to learn and socialise being a great place for me to be involved with bringing me many great memories and future opportunities in fact I’m typing while doing work experience for Act2Cam adding to my CV and experience.
