Why take Drama? A poem

Our candidate in the interview chair

Believes in what she says; communicates.

Confident, authentic, audience aware,

She has a sense of purpose; co-creates.

Creativity; imagination;

Person-centred; values-driven… Someone who

Can see the story in the information;

Conceive and craft a message; cut it through.

What was the education that instilled

These qualities, or nurtured them from seed?

Who were the mentors, carers, teachers skilled;

The visionaries of a future need?

We check her CV (like you do, as a rule)

But we already guessed she took Drama in school.
