Join Filmmaking in Whitley Bay, a hands on programme where children learn the art of creating films.
Filmmakers attend for 2 hours every other week (seniors and juniors) during school term time, exploring the craft of filmmaking while developing key skills in scripting, cinematography, and editing. Guided by industry experts, they collaborate on projects, producing a showreel piece each term to share with parents. Each summer our students have “the opportunity” to star in a 2-day North Tyneside shoot, crafting a short film from concept to completion.
Anyone who loves films and filmmaking, and sees themself in an off-screen role. We will teach you all about the many roles behind-the-camera, and give you plenty of opportunities to make your own films.
Filmmaking sharpens problem-solving, leadership, and technical abilities, preparing children for creative industries. Collaborative projects foster teamwork and communication, while hands-on experience builds confidence in their cinematic vision. Students gain practical skills applicable to film, media, and beyond.
We offer a 4 hour free trial before young people decide whether they want to become members, and before parents have to pay anything!
